Clarins Pure and Radiant Mask with pink clay

Sunday 11 January 2015

So for christmas my mum very kindly brought me the Clarins pink clay face mask, and I really love it! My mum and I have always been big Clarins fans and I use one of their bronzers and their Beauty Flash Balm religiously. I have used this mask a few times now since christmas and overall I have noticed just how much more soft and smooth my skin feels! So I thought I'd give you a quick review! :)

This particular mask is aimed at combination to oily skin so it is perfect for my complexion, which can sometimes be oily around my T zone, this mask I have found works well in mattifying those pesky oily areas. As it is quite a deep purifying mask I'd recommend using it only a couple of times a week, leaving it on for around 10 minutes. The mask isn't too thick either so it is very nice to apply and great at reducing pores! All in all I'd say it was well worth the buy and at £22 I think a great purchase!

My Happy Place

Saturday 3 January 2015

My happy place. And how I miss it, I thought I'd write a relatively short post as I'm literally just procrastinating whilst attempting to do school work, and my mind started to wonder to my absolute favourite destination in the entire world. No it's not anywhere fancy and abroad like the Maldives or Dubai…(although I am quite proud of the picture above) And it doesn't have a shopping mall or a 5 star hotel, it's actually a small village in the south west (I think) of Wales called Aberdovey. Quaint, peaceful and in my opinion just beautiful, I'd been going  there nearly every single holiday literally since I was 3 months old! (my crazy mum's idea to take me) There is something about the crisp sea air, eating ice cream for breakfast and it being perfectly acceptable to walk around the entire village barefoot without looking like an idiot!
I Have so many memories from there that I'm certain will last a lifetime, for various reasons I haven't been for quite a while, which makes me so sad you can't even imagine! It has crossed my mind more than a few times to get on a train and just go down by myself!
This got me thinking, isn't funny how one event can make it so difficult to go back to a place you love without getting all emotional! I feel a bit silly even saying that, but it is true!
One day I hope to go back, and hopefully then it won't feel so tainted!

I understand you probably haven't got a clue what I'm going on about, but I felt as though I needed a rant! Sorry if this post was a little pointless! Let me know if you have any favourite places!?

Blogging: An Organised Mind for 2015...

Friday 2 January 2015

Are you are like me and find the concept of keeping organised quite a task!? I am forever losing things, forgetting where I am supposed to be, turning up to class late, you name it I've probably done it! So this new year I have made a resolution, no a mission! To remain more organised! Whether this is by simply keeping my room tidy, writing stuff down, making reminders on my phone or sticking post-it notes all over my entire room!.. i'll do it. But this also goes for blogging also, my posts have been have been a bit more regular recently and in turn my stats have gone up! yay! I believe that If you get into more of a routine and post regularly, your blog will thank you for it! So without further a due, here are some tips and tricks to remain organised whilst blogging!

BRAIN STORM

Thought of an amazing new concept for a post? brain storm! fill a page with all your excellent creative ideas and allow them to flood off the page and on to your laptop screen. Often brain storming can help develop your ideas into something even better!

GET IT DOWN

Wherever and whenever you think of an idea make sure you write it down! Either on paper or on your phone, just make sure you remember it! Even if you are sitting on the train and see someone with a pair of super nice boots on, or maybe your friend came into school today in the nicest winter coat? If you write these things down it can often open the door to bigger ideas.

INSPIRATION IS EVERYWHERE

This may sound like a weird one, but often I find that collaging a bunch of products and accessories together can inspire a post, like the photo above, I saw that my dressing table looked like a bit of a pretty mess, my stuff was everywhere but somehow all the colours went together, and after a bit of rearranging it turned out to be a decent photograph. So what I am saying is if you pay more attention to things around you and bring things together it could turn into an idea or inspiration for a post!

SCHEDULE

Having a schedule doesn't necessarily mean you must post every single wednesday and Saturday for the rest of your blog's life, but as long as you set your self a goal to post at least once a week or even more if you can, then you will find that your audience may be more interest and keep coming back for revisits! Also the more content your blog has, as long as the quality is high the more professional it may seem!

I hope you found this useful and let me know if you have any tips as I'd love to try them out!
